NOTICE TO MUNICIPAL ELECTORS
OF THE
TOWNSHIPS OF MORRIS AND TURNBERRY
Nominations for representation of Public School Supporters
on the Huron County Board of Educatioh, will be received by
the undersigned at the Township of Morris Municipal Office,
RR 4 Brussels, Ontario commencing Thursday, October 13,
1988 and until Monday, October 17, 1988 at 5:00 p.m.
Nominees must be Public School Supporters and may be
electors from either the Township of Morris or The Township
of Tumberry.
One representative will be elected.
Required nomination forms may be obtained from either
Municipal Office.

NOMINATION
Notice to Municipal Electors
Township of Morris
Notice is hereby given to the MtAnicipal Electors of the
Township of Morris in the County of Huron, that Nomination
Fonns may be filed in the office of the undersigned commen-
cing Thursday, October 13, 1988 until 5 p.m. on Monday,
October 17, 1988.
For the purposes of nominating persons for the following
offices:
1. Reeve, Deputy Reeve, Three Councillors for the Township
of Morris.
2. (1) One representath a for t Huron County Board of Edu-
cation for the electoral districts of the Township of Morris and
the Township of Turnberry. This form must be filed at the Mor-
ris Township Municipal Office.
3. (1) One representative for the Huron Perth Roman Catholic
Separate School Board for the electoral districts of the Town-
ship of Morris, Turnberry, Howick, East Wawanosh, Grey;
Town of Wingham; and the Villages of Blyth and Brussels. This
form must be filed at the Howick Township Municipal Office.
Each member nominated, if elected, is to serve a three year
term commencing December 1, 1988 until November 30, 1991.
Electors are hereby required to take notice and govern
themselves accordingly, and further take notice that the
manner in which said nominations shall be filed is set forth in
the Municipal Elections AcL Nomination forms and full particu-
lars of procedures to be followed, may be obtained from the
undersigned.
If a greater number of candidates than required to fill the
said offices are nominated and make the required declarations,
notice of the time for the holding of the poll, including the
advance polls and notice of the last day -for making applica-
tions for a certificate to vote by proxy is shown below.
And Further Take Notice:
1. A nominee may withdraw from a nomination at any time
before 5:00 p.m. in the afternoon of Tuesday, October 18,
1988,
2. Nominations must be siTned by at least ten electors and the
nominee must make a declaration of consent and
qualifications.
3. Where the number of candidates for an office is not suffi-
cient to fill the nurnber of vacancies to which the candidates
may be elected, on the Wednesday following nomination day,
October 19th, 1988, the Clerk may, between the hours of 9
am. and 5 p.m., receive and certify additional nominations for
the office in respect to which there was an insufficient number
of candidates.
Should an Election be required, the Election will be held
on Monday, November 14, 19: *, between the hours of 10:00
a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Advance Polls will be held on Saturday, November 5, 1988
and Thursday, NoveMber .10, 1988. between the hours ,,of
1000 a.m. and 800 sim;- at the TiOnship of Morris tiroticipar
Office.

his 70th year. He was the dear hus
band of the former Mary Brophy

Mildmay, Mrs. Keith (Frances
Ellis of Walkerton, Mrs. Danie
(Catherine) Durrer, London, John of
Calgary, Michael and Joseph, bot
of Walkerton; dear brother of Mrs
Stanley (Leona) Black of Belgrave
Mrs. Allan (Mary) McTaggart o
Goderich and Laverne of Belgrave
dear grandfather of 19 grand-
children. He was predeceased by his
parents, George White and
Margaret Kraemer and two infant
sisters. Mass of -the Christjap Buria
was celebrated at Sacred Heart
School, she taught near Shelburne,
in Ashfield Township, St. Helens
Strabane and at Holmes' School, RR
2, Wing,ham, where she_biked in the
o -
summer and snowshoed through the
winter so she could be at home with
her aging mother. She started her
in career in 1915, earning a salary of —
- $600. She ended tier career at the
Wingham Public School where she
° taught for 23 ye.ars.
Miss McLaughlin retired in 1978
after 41 and a half years of teaching.

the Huron County Teachers'
Federation for being the only
teacher still in the area who was
Roman Catholic Church, Walkerton,
on Saturday morning. Interment
followed in Calvary Cemetery,
Walkerton. Memorial donations to
the Ontario Heart and Stroke
Foundation would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.
WHITE —Passed away at Wingham
and District Hospital on Friday, Oct
7, Laverne T. J. White of RR 1, Bel -
grave, in his 65th year. He was the
beloved son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
George White; dear brother of Mrs.
Stanley (Leona) Black of RR 1, Bel -
grave and Mrs. Allan (Mary)
McTaggart, Goderich; brother-in-
law of Mrs. Wilfred- (Mary) White of
Walkerton; also survived by several
' nieces and nephews. He was pre-
deceased by his brother, Wilfred, on
Oct. 4. Friends called at The Mc-
Burney Funeral Home, Wingham,
on Monday. Mass of the Christian
Burial will be celebrated at Sacred
Heart Roman Catholic Church,
Wingham, today (Tuesday) at 11
a.m., Rev. Stan Soltysik officiating.
Interment will follow in Sacred
Heart Cemetery, Teeswater. Family
prayers were held in the funeral
home on Monday at -8 p.m. Memorial
donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society or the Sacresilleart Building
Fund would be appreciated as
expressions of sympathy.
MOORE — Kevin and Lori Moore of
Wingham are pleased to announce

nine pounds, 15 ounces, on Oct. 1 at

A native of Howick Township and
retired school teacher, Miss Helen
Gibson of 717 Broadview Ave.,
Toronto, died Oct at Toronto's
Wellesley Hospital at the age of 86.
Surviving are one brother, Robert
of Gorrie; three nieces,Mrs. David
(Agnes) Livingstone of Wiarton,
Margaret Carson of Brockville and.
Mrs. Hal (Jean) Copeland of Erin;
three—nephews, Doug Gibson of
Orangeville, Charles Gibson and
Robert Gibson, both of Kitchener.
She was predeceased by her
parents, Alexander Gibson (1949)
and Agnes Millar (1947); and two
sisters, Margaret Wells and Mary
Wearing.
Funeral service was held at the
Gorrie Chapel of M. L. Watts
Funeral Homes on TLjesday; Oct- 4,
at two o'clock, conducted by Jeff
Hawkins of the Wrokeler United .
Church where Miss Gibsen hadbien •
a member when she lived in Howick.
Interment followed in Wroxeter
Cemetery. •'

Mrs. W. Haugh dies suddenly
Passed away suddenly at Wing -
ham and District Hospital on Satur-
day, Oct. 8, Mrs. T. West Haugh of
RR , Wingham, in her 72nd year.
Mrs. Haugh, the former Edith
Ethelyn Willits, was a daughter of
the. late Webster Willits and Ethel
McLean and was born in Turnberry
Township on May 14, 1917. She
farmed with her husband on the
ninth concession of Turnberry
Township until his death in 1986.
Left to mourn her passing are two
daughters, Mae and Donna; one
granddaughter, Erin and two
brothers, Jack Willits of Wroxeter
and Ross Willits, Ripley. --
Complete funeral service was held
at The McBurney Funeral Home,
Wingham, on Monday at one o'clock,
conducted by Rev. John P. Vaudry
of St. Andrew's - Presbyterian
Church where Mrs. Haugh was a
member. Final resting place will be
Wingham Cemetery.
