Thanksgiving weekend at their
trailer at Bayfield.
Miller and June Munford of
Saskatchewan spent a fewj.days last
week with Mrs. Bernice Marriner
and visited with Clendon Bramhill in
Palmerston hOspital.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Tremble of
Orangeville visited one day last
week with Mrs. Annie Pittendreigh,
Minnie McElwain and John
McElwain.
Mr. and Mrs, Jim Campbell and
Samantha of London vitited over the
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Magill.
Friends of Mrs. Jack Douglas will
be pleased to hear she was able to
return home Thursday from St.
Joseph's Hospital, London.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Soper spent the
weekend with their daughter in
Peterborough.
Friends here were sorry to hear
that Arnold Leonard of London,
formerly of the Fordwich area,
recently underwent double bypass -
heart surgery and was home from
the hospital when he suffered a
severe stroke. He is now in
University Hospital, London, and at
time of writing is very ill.
Mrs. Lorna McMinn and Mrs.
Joyce Wildsmith of Caledon spent
last weekend with Mrs. Bernice
Marriner.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Durrant and
daughter Pauline of London visited
Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Wilson,

Emerson Ferguson, Mrs. Wally
Nixon and Mrs. Bill , Sothern at-

Deanery held Tuesday in St. James'
Anglican Church, Middleton. The
speaker was Rev. Ruth Pogson.

Dave Lockie attended the WI fall
rally held in Hensall on Monday.
Congratulations to Mrs. Phyllis
Haverfield on winning one of the
special prizes at the Mildmay bingo.

DR. CHISHOLM DIES
After a brief illness from cardiac
trouble, complicated with
pneumonia, Dr. Thomas Chisholm,'
formerly of Wingham, died at his
home in Toronto in his. -90th year in
the autumn Of 1931. He had madelliS
home in Toronto since retiring frOM
active prictice and membership in
the Housef COmmonS. '
