hosts Trinity meeting
FORDWICH—Trinity Anglican
Church Women met recently at the
home of Mrs. Stewart, Rowley, nie.,
president opened the meeting with
the Members' Prayer and a prayer
• for Prayer Partners, after which all
were welcomed. She thanked the
hostess for opening her home to the
group. Elva roster conducted
devotions aken from The Living
Message.
1R.oll call was answered by 20
members, with each bringing
articles for an auction which was
held at the close of the evening. Mrs.
•Rowley read the minutes of the
August meeting and Mrs. 'Wally
Nixon gave the financial statement.
Mrs. Tim Bunker reported on card
sales and told members the
catalogue would be distributed so
Christmas cards and gifts can be
ordered.
the bazaar and tea. on Saturday,
Nov. 5, also in the Fordwich hall.
The Harvest Home service will be
held Sunday, Sept 25. Aitione , is
welcome to help decorate the church
on the 24th. A donation was made to

to Philippine Republic in October.
Mrs. Bunker, on behalf of the
ACW, spoke a few words to Mrs.
Roger Rowley and she was
presented with, a gift for her baby
son, Mitchell. Mari Lou thanked
everyone land the meeting closed
with the Graee. An auction followed
of plants, vegetables, canned goods
and,baking.
Lunch was served by Mrs. Bunker
and Mrs. Roger Rowley, assisted by
the hostess.
Members were asked to
remember secret pals and the
birthday box was passed. Final
plans were made for catering to a
Saturday wedding and Mrs. Alma
Hargrave and Mrs. Bruce
Armstrong were named a
committee to purchase new curtains
for the basement windows at the
church.
Mrs. Dave Dinsmore's group will
plan the lunch for Bill and Jean
Sothern's 50th wedding anniversary
when an Open Muse will be held in
the Pordwich Hall on Sunday, Oct.
