For the upcoming 1988 waterfowl
season at th,e Hullett •Provincial

Ontario Ministry of Natural
Resources is implementing some
changes to the current controlled
waterfowl hunt.
These changes will facilitate
improved area management in
terms of parking control, sanitation
and the disposal of litter. The new
system will enable the ministry to
maximize hunting opportunities
while at the same time provide a fair
and equal opportunity to all hunters.
To hunt in waterfowl unit Zone.A,

waterfowl hunters must:
–Register at L15, C7 parking lot
(across from the viewing stand) for
each day's hunt.
–Participate in a draw at 10ii.m,
eaCli night for the fallowing day's
hunt.
p.m. to 3 a.m.

Major changes in the way Ontario
Housing Corporation evaluates ap-
plications for rent -geared -to -income
housing will result in about 2,000
additional working households
obtaining accommodation through
OHC by the end of 1989.
The changes to the priority rating
system, which will come into effect
no later than January 1989, will
mean that working applicants will
receive standard deductions from
their income for typical employ-
ment-related expenses including
transportation, child care and
lothing.
Creating a fairer and more equit-
able application system means they
will now have the opportunity to
btain affordable accommodation
through the OHC.

Content Act affect wines using some
imported grapes. Those under the
Liquor -Control Act apply to wines
made entirely from Ontario grapes.
In force for the 12 -year adjustment
period, these regulations are aimed
at improving grape and wine quality
while maintaining stable markets.
Consumers will aiso be provided
with an incentive to buy Ontario
wines, through the gradual reduc-
tions M themarkup differential over
12 years..
Quality standards should receive a
further boost when the Ontario
Vintners Quality Alliance, an in-
duStry association which helped
develop the new quality rules, in-
troduces rigorous quality standards
for its members, including an ap-
pellation system, identifying grape
growing regions.
