will occupy the pulpit in Main St.
Church next Sunday in the morning
and evening.

vices at Zion appointment ,on the

Rev. W. E. Donnelly was in. God-
erich Monday evening delivering his
lecture on "Scraps" in the North St.
Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Fuke and son
Stewart, and Mr. and. Mrs. E. C.
Harvey are holidaying for a couple
of weeks at Grand Bend.
Hensall's new School does not
affect Exeter because they are, tak-
ing only continuation schoolwork
there with but two teachers.
The Young People's League of the
Exeter District held their annual
convention in Lucan on. Tuesday.

Mr. Archie Morgan '"who under-
went - an operation in Victoria Hos-
pital, Londonhas sufficiently re-
covered as to be able to return home
Miss M. Sanders returned home
Iast week after visiting in Detroit
and London. She also enjoyed a
trip up the lakes as far as Duluth.
The Principal of the High School
reported to the Board on Tusday
that the attendance this year is 191

Messrs. Pollen and Foote who
have been conducting a garage busi-
ness on James St: have dissolved
partnership. Mr. Jas. Foote is tak-
ing over the business,
Mr. and Mrs. E. Treble returned
home last week after .visiting with
their son , Leon in Toronto, ' They
were accompanied home by their
little granddaughter.
The court of revision for the Vot-
ers' List in connection with the com-
ing plebiscite was held last Thurs-
day, Sheriff R. T. Reynolds presid-
ing.

$8155.56 owing to the increased at-
tandance. This :is what Exeter's
school taxes become lower ,every
year.

Miss Vera Coates is 'receiving
treatment for goitre trouble at .Vic-
toria Hospital, London and is mak-
ing very favourable improvement.

Mr. Fred Hunkin lost am horse last
week. He had driven out to one of
his daughters in Usborne and when
he came to hitch up his horse the
animal was dead. •
The Ladies' Aid of James Street

Mrs. Baines who has been ill was
taken to Victoria Hospital, London,
on Saturday and underwent an oper-
ation on Tuesday. She:.is `getting a-
long nicely and her friends will hope
for her speedy recovery.
The new addition to the' school
has been unanimously agreed upon
by the Board and approved., by the
