Mrs. Edna Paterson, formerly Edna
Stoakley of Wingham and daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Stoakley of
town, had been sworn in as a part-
time constable in Kitchener. Her
duties were to include accompany-
ing the police when., making the
arrest of a woman, accompanying a
woman prisoner to court and
searching her if necessary.
