The late 4iin Casemore rested at 12, .with the death of James Kenneth Casemore, a resident of the first The McBurney Funeral Home, _concession of Morris Township for many years. Mr, Casemore passed away at his home at RR 4, Wingham. He was born June 17, 1923 and was 65 years of age. The son of the late Andrew Casemore and Emma Forsythe, Mr. Casemore was educated at SS No, 7, Morris. He served with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders from January of 1943 to March of 1946 before returning to this area to take up farming. He also worked for the Morris Township roads department for 24 years before retiring in September of last year. He was a member of the Bluevale United Church, Left to mourn his loss is his wife, Evelyn Allen, whom he married June 4, 1947, in London, Mr. Casemore also is survived by four daughters and one son: Linda and Joe Smith, Heathe and Dianne Thyme, all of Wingham; Patricia and Dale Tasker of London; Beverley and Brian Walden of Blyth and Ross and Joanne Casemore of Waterloo. There are 16 grandchildren. Mr. Casemore's two sisters, Irlma of Wingham and Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Pattison of Blyth, mourn a dear brother and he also is survived by his , mother-in-law, Mrs. Gertrude Allen and his sister-in-law, Helen Casemore, both of Wingham. LEDDY — Passed At Winghani and District Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 13, Catherine Leddy of Brooldiaven, Wingham, in her 91st year. The former Catherine Mary McGrogan, beloved wife of the late Augustine Leddy (1972),. Dear sister of Sister Gervais of Wheaton, Illinois. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother and two sisters. Friends may call at The McBurney, Funeral Home, Wingham, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Wingham on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Father Stan Soltysik officiating. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wingham. Stephens dies in Palmerston hospital The Gorrie community was sad- dened last week by the death of Helen Amelia Stephens, who died Wednesday, Aug. 10, in Palmerston and District. Hospital in her 74th year. Left to mourn are two daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Eleanore) Grainger of Howick Township and Mrs. Wayne (Evelyn Anne) Stevens of Bramalea. She also is survived by two sisters, Annie Fawcett of Chatham and Isabel Farr of Oakwood, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her hus- band, Albert Leslie Stephens, in 1957; one son Robert in 1971 and one sister. The late Mrs. Stephens rested at Former resident dies at Brantford A resident of Paris, Charles Henry Flet formerly of Wingham, died peac fully at the Brantford General Hospital on Friday, July 29. He was in his 85th year. Born in Windsor, the son of the late Charles Henry and Hannah Mariah Flett, Mr. Flett was a former em- ployee of Paris Gypsum Lime and Alabastine Company, Paris. He will be dearly remembered by his wife, Eva Anne Howells; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Dore and Mrs. Wayne (Charlene) Taylor, both of Paris and Mrs. William (Evangeline) Hen- derson of Wingham ; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Welch of Cambridge; six grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Captain Wilf Ratcliffe of Paris Salvation Army conducted funeral service at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, on Monday, Aug. 1, at 1:30 p.m. Interment was in Paris Cemetery. Dr. Crawford was born in Innisfail, Alberta, on March 1, 1903, a son of the late Daniel Thomas Crawford and Jean Shillington. A 1927 graduate of the University of Toronto School of Medicine, he had served the people of Wingham and surrounding community as a dedicated and caring family physician since 1915. Many people remember with fondness this gentle, compassionate, man who tended their medical and emotional needs and became their friend. Dr. Crawford was a member of the ingham United Church and ham Lodge No. 286, AF & AM, of which he was a past, master. Members of the lodge held a memorial service in the funeral home Wednesday evening. Left to, mourn his passing is his wife, the former Madeline (Acheson) Graham. Crawford A long-time resident of Gorrie Mrs. Gordon Edgar, passed away Wednesday, July 27, at Wingham add District Hospital in her 93rd year. The former Annie Elizabeth Ro- bertson was born in Howick Town- ship. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gordon Mac- Kinnon Edgar (July 17, 1983); one son, Harold R. Edgar; one sister, Mrs. Gladstone (Mabel) Edgar and one brother, Harvey Robertson. Mrs. Edgar is survived by one daughter-in-law, Gwen Edgar of Moncton, New Brunswick; two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert (Frances) Acheson of New Brung- wick and James Gordon Edgar, Kapuskasing; three great-grand- children and one brother, Cameron Roberton of Strathclair, Manitoba. Funeral service was held Satur- day, July 30, at two o'clock at the Gorrie Chapel of M. L. Watts Funeral Homes, Rev. Jeff Hawkins officiating. Interment followed in Gorrie Cemetery.
