WILLIAM SOTHERN 335-6273 Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brunarski an family returned home la Wednesday after spending a fe days with his parents, ..Mr...and Mr John Brunarski at Port Colborne. Rev. and Mrs. Cy Marzec of Highgate visited last Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Madgette and with other friends in the village. Mr. and Mrs. George Richards returned home last week after a five-week trip through the Western provinces. While there they attended a family reunion in Edmonton, the Calgary Stampede, a rodeo at Strathmore and visited the site of the 1988 Winter Olympics. The Richards also spent a few days with Bill Stinson at Pincher Creek and also with their son, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Richards. d in Fordwich. st Aaron Zimmer of Orillia is w spending some holidays with his S. . grandfather, Don Montour. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Ruttan, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ruttan, Mr. and Mrs. Anson Ruttan, Mr. and Mrs. Holger Feldskov and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wallace and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ruttan and family and Bruce Ruttan and children attended the Ruttan Reunion last Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Ruttan at Punky Doodle Corners. Mrs. Leon Schneider and Laurie Schneider were hostesses for a miscellaneous shower for relatives in honor of Teresa Koenig, who will bemarried r ed 1 ater this month. Games and contests were enjoyed after which Ms. Koenig was presented with her gifts. She thanked everyone for her gifts and for attending the shower. Lunch followed. Recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kennedy were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Handy, Gormley and Mrs. Fred Lebieck of Collingwood. Mr. and Mrs. Brian Wildfang and Ryan of Mississauga visited one day last week with his grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Simmons. Best wishes are extended to Mr. and Mrs. John Winkel, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last Saturday. An open Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brunarski and family visited for a couple of days recently with Mr. and Mrs. David Brunarski at Simcoe. Don't forget the card party on Friday night, Aug. 19, at the Fordwich Community Hall, starting at 8:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Mac Corbett of London and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Matthew of British Columbia visited one day last week with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wilson. Melanie, Michael and Mark Seip of Exeter visited last week with their grandmother, Mrs. Jean Clarkson. Sunday guests with Mrs. Annie Pittendreigh Were: Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hunter, Georgetown; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Trimble and Joy, Orangeville; Jillian Pittendreigh and friend Scott of Unionville; John Pittendreigh and friend Wendy of London; Mr. and Mrs. Ian Pittendreigh of London; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Harkness and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Inglis, Belmore, as well as John and Minnie McElwain. All marked the 25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ian Pittendreigh. Word was received here last week that Scott Keith of Oakville and formerly of the Fordwich area had passed away in Toronto General Hospital. Mr. Keith, who died Aug. 7, is survived by his wife.Marlene, two daughters and two .sons„- all of Oakville; his father, Mex Keith and his sister, Mrs. Peter (Phyllis) Chimney of Port Colborne. house was held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Fordwich Community Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lockie and family of Cambridge were weekend visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Kennedy. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Siefert, Chris and Alyson of Bramalea were Monday visitors at the same home. Mary Feldskov returned home on the weekend after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. Don Hawkins at Shelburne. While there she attended the Old -Time Fiddlers' Jamboree. Mr. and Mrs. RoyKennedy edy eturned home last weekend after spending the past two months on a motor trip through the Western provinces visiting relatives. Mrs. Don King and Mrs. Raymond Baylor spent a couple of days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Jack King at their trailer in Kincardine. The sympathy of the community goes to Mr. and Mrs. Ole Rasmussen in the death of her father in Denmark. Mrs. Rasmussen left last week to attend the funeral. Mrs. Alice Wray of St. Marys visited last Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wray. This year's dinosaur theme has proven very popular with the younger patrons. A special dinosaur craft workshop will be presented by Marion Doucette as one of the last special library events of the summer.
