Jeffer Members of the Jefferson family are, mourning the sudden death of Wesley John Jefferson of RR 1, Belgrave, which occurred July 31 in Wingham. He was 53 years of age. Mr. Jefferson was a native of West Wawanosh Township and farmed there for many years. His father was the late Charles R. Jefferson and his mother, the former Iona McClinchey, is . also deceased.. He was born Oct. 4,1934. -Left to; mourn -are his wife; the former Eilleen Josling, whom he married Dec. 13, 1958, at Auburn; three daughters, Mrs. Dwayne (Debbie) Berkholtz of Edson, Al- berta, Doreen and her -special friend, Murray Thompson, RR 1, Belgrave and Mrs. David (Diane) Thomson, Wingham; three sons, Brian and Gerald, both of RR 1, Belgrave and Bill and his fiancee, Debbie Rimmer of Teeswater. He was predeceased by his son, Barry Arthur Jefferson, on July 11 of this year and is survived by Barry's special friend, Carrie Page of Edson, Alberta. There is one grand- son, Regan Berkholtz of Edson; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Elaine) Camp- bell of London and one brother, Donald and his wife, Marie, of Jack Bowman dies suddenly in hospital The sudden death occurred in Wingham and District Hospital on Wednesday, Aug. 3, of John (Jack) Bowman of RR 5, Brusels, He was in his 87th year. Mr. Bowman was born in Morris Township, a son of the late William and Janet (Speir) Bowman. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Yuill; 'four daughters, Mrs. Bill (Isabel )' •Elston, RR 5, Brussels; Mrs. Ross (Doris) Strick land, London, Mrs. Maitland (Mary) Edgar, Petrolia and Mrs. William (Louise) Marshall, Calgary; one son, Jun, RR 5, Brussels; 19 grand- children; 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Yuill of Brussels. He was predeceased by one brother. Friends paid their respects at the Brussels Chapel of M. L. Watts Pu - neral Hntries on Sunday; Aug. 7, at two o'clock, Rev. Charles Car- pentier officiating. Final resting place is Brussels Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul, Mark and David Strickland, Wayne, Murray apB4 s, rw,s t Clinton. Funeral service was held at the MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral Home, Lucknow, on ; Aug. 3, con- ducted by Rev. D. Armstrong of Donnybrook United Church where Mr. Jefferson was a member. Edgar dies in -.93rd A long-time resident of Gorrie, Mrs. Gordon Edgar, passed away Wednesday, July 27, at Wingham and District Hospital in her 93rd year. The former Annie Elizabeth leo- bertson was born in Howick Town- ship. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Gordon Mac Kinnop Edgar (July 17, 1983) ; one son, Harold R. Edgar; one sister, its. Gladstone .(Mabel) Edgar and o e brother, Havey Robertson. Mrs. Edgar is survived by one daughter-in-law, Gwen Edgar of Moncton, New Brunswick; two grandchildren, Mrs. Robert year (Frances) Acheson of New Brunie wick and James Gordon \E{.. Kapuskasing,; three great -gran - children and one brother, Cameron Roberton of Strathclair, Manitoba Funeral service was held Satur- day, July 30, at two o'clo' k at the Gorrie Chapel of M. L.
