SMALL -CRAFT SAFETY—Red Cross Society representatives were in town recently to teach small -craft
safety to summer playground instructors in Wingham. They even got to go for a leisurely canoe trip on
the Maitland River.

Large turnout
for junior tourney
The Wingham Optimist Junior
Golf Tournament was held at the
Wingham Golf Club last Saturday,
June 18. A total of 30 junior golfers
took part in the competition.
Winners were: Jonathon Lane,
Bantam division; Scott Neil,
Juvenile and David McRae, Juniors.
These three winners will represent
the Wingham Optimist Club at its
Midwestern District Tournament in
Woodstock on July 25.
Thanks are extended to the
Wingham Optimist Club for its
continued support of youth activities
in the area.
