PRIMARY REPORT
Edited by Cindy Newton
Last week was a very exciting one
for Grade 1. On Wednesday morning
they entertained the primary
classes at their assembly. They had
their bus trip to Story Book Park in
Owen Sound last Thursday and they
enjoyed playday events last Friday
afternoon.
— Miss Edgar, Mrs. McKay
Poems and songs have been
written by Mrs. Alcock's Grade 2
students. Here is a song by Andy
Pennington, to the tune of "Twinkle,
Twinkle Little Star".
SPRING
Spring. Spring is so nice.
I can see paradise.
Flowers are blooming.
Trees are budding.
Grass is growing greener.
Fields are growing.
Birds are singing.
Beautiful songs.
Spring, spring is so nice.
— Mrs. Alcock
Miss Montpetit and Mrs. Hut-
chinson's class have been doing lots
of activities this year, namely:
Camp Wyoka, trees, environmental
awareness, friends and eggs.
The best one I think was Camp
Wyoka because it was totally
awesome! We have been doing
sports in gym, soccer, baseball,
hockey and bordenball. We do lots of
stretches before each sport. TO
finish up the year we are writing a
Camp Wyoka newspaper and
making a Camp Wyoka mural.
— Tyler Scott
Miss Sanderson's Grade 2 class
has written songs for the fall fair.
Here is Erin Hutchison's song:
I hiVe a dog and her name is
Midnight.
She's the one that I like the best
She is all black and small
I love her and she loves me.
Sung to the tune of "I Have a Dog
named Rover".

SLAUGHTER HOUSE LOST
Early in June, 1908, the people of
Wingham were roused from their
slumbers early one morning by the
ringing of the fire alarm, the fire
being at the slaughter house on the
Bluevale road, used by Thomas
Fells, butcher. The building, owned
by W. F. Vanstone, was completely
destroyed and Mr. Fells lost a
carcass of beef, six pigs and his
butchering tools. There was no in-
surance on building or contents. The
firemen responded promptly but the
hydrant was too far from the fire.

With the school' year winding down
to a telose, teachers are trying their
best to try and finish up their last
Unit of math and science.

laughter.
All the field trips are now pleasant
memories — courtesy of our student
parliament.
The North Huron track meet was a
little short of a success for our

On Thursday, June 16, Dr. Long
came to our school to speak to the
Grade 7 and 8s about "AIDS"-. His
one-hour presentation was very
informative and, he answered many
