played a total of four games this
season, recording three wins and
one loss. "
The team's only loss came in its
first •Match-uP, against Mount
Forest, $.ihich the local lads lost by a
9-7 cou$.
However, they then defeated

The Tuesday Ladies' "hidden
partners" winners last week were
Barb Helm and Lynn Magee.

Friday. Night_Mixed Golfing starts
at the regular time of 6 p.m. this

Squirts. To date, they are scheduled
to play, in the Gocierich tournament
July 22 and 23 and the Coaches
George Patterson and Bob Sangster
are planning on other outings.
Senior Smokies
win tournament
The senior members of the
Wingham Smokies won the Lon-
desborough Over -30 Slo-Pitch
Tournament on the weekend in con-
vincing style.
The Smokies defeated Clinton 18-5
and Porter's Hill 15-3. The team
defeated 1Vlarnock Maroons 10416
advance to the final game on
Sunday.

Club, won a silver medal Inthe shot put at the Colgate Women's
Games in Toronto. Her throw 01 9.97 metres was a'personal best

Soccer team
ties Hanover
The Wingham PeeWee soccer
team, "Pegasus", tied Hanover 2-2
on• June 14. Wingham goals were
scored by Duane Patterson.
The team plays tonight, Tuesday,
in Kincardine' and the next home
game will be against Mount Forest
next Tuesday evening, June 28, at 7
p.m. on the F. E. Madill soccer fiekt
