Captain Mac - Anderson served as
master of ceremonies for the event,
at which a number of deserving
young cadets were honored for tir•
accomplishments over .the' past
year.
Bob Wittig, Wingham police chief,
anda former Cadet; was the,
reviewing officer for the evening.
Following the General Salute and
Squadron Inspection, the Cadets -
participated in a 'March Past for
family, friends and the assembled
guests.
The Don Delmage Memorial.
Award, flying and gliding
scholarships, were presented to co -
winners Flight Sergeant Jeff
Dennis, Wingharn and/Corporal Les
Phillips, Blyth,-: by Clarence Ohm
and Bert MorinAif Branch 180 of the
Wingham Le tori Branch.
The Legion. Ladies' Auxiliary
Award. -•for most pr'otielent senior
non eo7mrussioned officer went to
Flt:` Sgt. Marjorie Campbell,
Bluevale. It was presented by Jean
King, president of the Legion
auxiliary.
The R. Donald Adarns Memorial
Trophy for most -proficient junior
non-commissioned officer was
presented to Cpl. Phillips by
Graham Adams

Richard Wilts of Londesborough for
outstanding sportsman.
The Robert L. Irvine MemerialY.
Award for mast -improved cadet Was
presented to -this year's recipient,
LAC Kim Mayberry, Londes-
borough, bMuriel wine.
LAC Sean Murphy of Lucknnw
was ,presented with the.best model,
air•eraf t trophy by Jack Blackwell of
the Winghani Legion.
Fit. Sgt. Erika Hooftman was
presented with the leadership and
citizenship award, as well as the
graduation scholarship by Capt. C.
E. Mino, commanding officer. Ms.
Hooftman will attend Royal Military
College at Kingston this fall.
Following the awards presen-
tation, Mr. Wittig gave a brief a
dress. The Air Cadet Leag e
representative, John Chippa
Stratford, was introduced, as was
the commanding officer.
Later in the program, the foot drill
and rifle drill teams gave demon-
strations. This was followed, by a
advance, General Salute a ''d
displays.
