Last Thursday night the Wingham
Bantam boys hosted Blyth in Tri -
County League play. This was a very
well -played defensive game, with'
Wingharn winning 6-1.
Trailing by one in the fourth in-
ning, Todd Chadwick singled for
Wingharn,• followed by Mari& Kot---
sanis' homerun to allow -the local
lads to take the lead they never
relinquished. Wingham added four
in the sixth inning to put the game
out of reach. . •
Other Offensive stars were Tim

• Ivan Gardner and Leon Russell
•were first in last Thursday evening's
• horseshoeplay at the Wingham
Sportsmen's Club, recording four
wins and avlus of 17.
Syd Laws& and Mason Robinson

plus of 49, while Keith Moffatt and

a phis of 40.
Glen Casemore and Don Saunders
were fourth with two wins and a plus
of 44. Jack Higgins and Lorne
Hamilton were fifth with two wins
and a plus of 38, while Ivan Rivett
and Jack Fritzley rounded out the
scoring in sixth with one win and a
plus of 78.

Steve Bourne doubled and singled
to lead the offence. Rob MacKay and
Sakasov produced the other
Wingham hits. Mike Beldman drew
an important walk to -=start the last
inning rally. Currie'S hitting streak
stopped at six, but he drew two
walks. •-
