The senior cadets who have been. taking the St. John Ambulance first aid course for the 4 t month did their final exami o 4 on. Linder the leadership of Shirley and Bill Hanula, these squadron members finished the practical part of the exam begun last week and wrote the written tests. The knowledge gained from this course is an asset to any cadet and may prove to be ex- tremely useful in future emergency situations. The cadets will know tomorrow how successful they were in their examinations. As well, the junior cadets who were being instructed in the orienteering course by Lt. Robert Bregman during the month of April wrote a final test on everything they had learned. The course teaches the cadets to become proficient in skills involving geography, mathematics, decision-making, self-confidence aria leadership. The practical nature of this course will become evident to these cadets when they will be at- tending their camps this summer. A kit inspection took place also. All cadets had to bring .the gear issued to them and, physically demonstrate _their possession of it. Cadet clothing, boots, belts, etc., are issued free of charge but must be inspected at stipulated intervals.
