Mrs. Alvin Mundell,
following the singing of an Easter
• hymn, Mrs. `'Robinson led an Easter
worship service entitled "Oracles"
• (Thank you), written by Norma
Proudfoot. Each member par-
ticipated by giving a reading or a
related scripture which depicted
Christ's death and suffering on the
cross. Mrs. Glenn Underwood was
organist for the hymns.
Roll call was answered by an
Easter reading or poem. Mrs.
Mundell received the offering which
was dedicated by Mrs. Robinson. A
second offering was taken for the
sister church in Guyana, to buy
medical supplies and Bibles.
The study was given by Mrs.
Mundell who pictorially compared
the Russian Orthodox Church with
the Presbyterian Church in Canada,-:

Robert Gibson. It was- the annual -
meeting and separate reports were
read from all the standing com-
mittee conveners. The program co-
ordinator, Mrs. Gibson, then gave a
summary of all reports. •
Mrs. Cecil Willson installed .the
new officers: past president, Mrs.
Wilson; president, Mrs. Alvin
Grainger; ': vice-president, Mrs.
Robert Gibson; secretary -treasurer,
Mrs. William Thornton.
A very successful plant and slip
sale was held. The next meeting is to
be held at the' home of Mrs. Robert
Elschner.- The topic is Education
and Cultural Activities.

Youth
A large youth . X1,1 , was held
Friday evening, Apr .2k ,.at St
Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
Wingham, to conclude activities for
the various youth groups for this
season. In co-operation with the
Wingham United Church, three
groups, function throughout the year.
The United Church hosts those in
r. ales 6, 7 and'8, while''St: Andrew's
is those in Grades 9 and 10 at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Camp-
bell and those in Grades 11 to 13 at
the home of Mr. and Mrs, Murray
Underwood.
The rally ` got ,under way with a
turkey -ham dinner, attended by
about 130 young people and adult
leaders. Bob Campbell led the group
in various games and activit es tmbl

BRIDGE OPENED
In November of 1967, Morris
Township officials gathered at the
new Jamestown Bridge on the first
line of Morris for,the span's official -
opening. Taking part, in the special
ceremonies were councillors Walter
Shortreed, Wulli rn Elston and Jim
Mair, clerk yrs. i , Martin and road
