Peggy Rutta
Members of the Ruttan and
Schneider families of Howick
Townshipand many friends in the
GprrieFordwicb area were deeply
.saddened bythe sudden' death of
Mrs. Bruce Ruttan of RR 1, Morrie.
The former Peggy Ann .wider
flied Wednesday,March 30, at Wing
ham and District Hospital in her 27th
-year.
Peggy was, bora July 6, 1961, in i
Wellingtons -County, a daughter of
Leon and Jean Schneider of RR • 1,
Fordwich. She will be missed by her
and, Bruce Norman Ruttan;
parents.; two sons, Bradley and
Trevor, both at home and one sister,
Laurie Schneider, RR 1, Fordwich.
She was the dear granddaughter of
Roy and Marion Kennedy of Ford-
Nich. and Bessie Dippel, Kitchener;
daughter -hi -law of Russell and Mary
Ruttan of Fordwich and dear friend
of Scott and Lois McLean, Listowel
She was predeceased by her brother,
Byran Schneider, .on March 6,1967.
The late Peggy Ruttan rested at
the Gorrie Chapel of M. L. Watts Fu-
neral Homes where friends offered
condolences until Saturday. Funeral
service was conducted at two o'clock
on Saturday, April 2, at Fordwich
United Church by Rev. Don Beck
Pallbearers were Lorne Behrns,
Ken Behrns, Larry Schneider, Glen,
Ivan and Ron Koepke. Memorial.
floral arrangements were carried by
Christian Feldskov, Mark Kennedy,
Kevin, Steven and Randy Bender.
Peggy Ruttan's final resting place
will be Fordwich Cemetery.

lengthy illness
A lengthy illness ended Monday,
March 28, when Lorne Durnin of RR
3, Wingham (Whitechurch), passed
away in Wingham and District Hos-
pital in his 87th year.
Born January 6, 1902, in West Wa-
wanosh Township and 'educated in
that township, Mr. Durnin was a
farmer before his retirement. He
was a member of the Whitechurch
United Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former
Gertrude Scholtz; two sons, J. D.
and his wife, Grace Ann and Ross
and his wife, Lois, all of West Wawa-
nosh Township; one stepson,
Clayton Scholtz and his wife, Laura,
of Goderich; three grandchildren
and six step -grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his first wife, Jean
Kennedy, in 1966; four brothers and
one sister.
Friends paid their respects at the
MacKenzie & McCreath Funeral
Home, Lucknow, until noon Wednes-
day when removal was made to
Whitechurch United Church where
.nice was conducted at two o'clock
by . Rev. John Neilson. Temporary
interment' followed at South Kinloss
Chapel and final resting place will
beGreenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
Pallbearers were Wayne Durnin,
Elroy Laidlaw, G. Simmons, Gordon
Foran, Harold Cook and Albert
_ Taylor. Floral tributes were carried
by David Gibb and Steven Durnin.
As expressions of concern and
sympathy, the family would appre-
