Russell Jones' hat trickproved to
be the downfall of the Arthur
Screaming Eagles last Saturday
evening at the Lockridge Memorial
Arena when that team was handed a
13-3 boss by the original Ironmen
team.
Before a good turnout ef�ioyal

finish of their second exhibition

Athletes of the Wingham Optimist
Track and Field Club competed
Sunday at the -4988 - MiteT'ykd . mid
Atom Indoor Track and Field Cham-
pionships at York University in
Toronto.
With over 300 participants, the
Wingham youngsters did very well
considering the high calibre of the
meet, earning four silver and two
bronze medals, as well as earning 72
"personal bests".
Medal winners were Christa Pegg.
with a silver -in the Mite girls' 800
metre race 13:30.17 min:) and a
bronze in the Mite 400m (1:34A0).
Both were personal bests.
Mary Lisle won a silver in the
Tyke' girls' high jump, (1.025m),
another.•personal best.
Double' silver medalists in the
boys' Tykehigh jump were Michael
Nolan and Steven "Mowbray (.95m),
once again, personaltests.
Julie Lisle earned a bronze in the
Atoin girls' 800m (2:48:50; P.B. ).

owing to a decrease in the
population, the town of Harriston
would in future have only three
licensed hotels. The license of the
