DONT LOSE IT, DON — Wingharn Councillor Don Carter nearly flat-
tened his flapjack at Sunday's Maple Madness held at the Maple
Keys Sugar Bush near Molesworth.
Bluevale Recreation News
BLUEVALE — At a meeting of the
Bluevale Recreation organization, it
was reported that the pre -teen dance
held in February was quite suc-
cessful. The profits from the dance
were donated to the Turnberry
Central School students' council as
that is where the people attending
the dance go to school.
Concern was voiced about the in-
efficiency of the ball park lights and
it was decided to change six of the
lamps this year.
Also discussed were plans for the
upcoming Rec Fest to be held June
23 to 26. Committees were set up for
the various activities such as mixed
ball tournament, horseshoe tourna-
ment, barbecue, street dance, bar,
grounds keeper, games, food booth
and advertising. Bluevale
Recreation and Carling O'Keefe will
co-sponsor the event.
Minor ball was discussed and
scheduling of the various teams
completed. So far, the minor teams
include T -ball, Mite boys, Mite girls
and Squirt girls. The adult teams
will include two men's slow pitch,
one men's fastball and one ladies'
softball team.
The next meeting will be held the
first Monday night in April. Anyone
interested is welcome to attend.

summer of 1972, Shawn Curtiss
Campbell was named the champion

Mrs. Alan Campbell, before a large

petitors.
