BELGRAVE—The Women's
Missionary Society held its meeting
Monday, March 14, at the home of
Mrs. Margaret Dunbar who
presided and opened with a call to
worship. The Easter service in -the
Glad Tidings was followed, with
everyone taking part.
Mrs. Hazel Dalrymple read
scripture and the prayer was read in
unison. Roll call was answered with
a verse on Easter and 42 sick and

BELGRAVE—The choir of Knox
United Church, Belgrave, sponsored
a ham and scalloped potatoes supper
for a capacity crowd in the Sunday
School room on Thursday evening,
March 17. To commemorate St.
Patrick's Day f all choir members
wore green. The tables and
schoolroom were adorned; with
shamrocks and green decoration.
President Robert Grasby
welcomed everyone and Mrs.
George Procter, leader and
organist, led the singing. of Grace is .
the auditorium.
The choirmembers•appreciate the
support and thank - everYnneeveryone who
helped in a ways

topic was given' by Mrs. Dalrymple
who read the Easter message from
Peter Marshall's book, "Mr. Jones,
Meet the Master", entitled "The
Grave in the Garden". Mrs.
Margaret Siertsema read a poem,
"Sunrise" and Mrs. Lottie Scott
read "Christ Among the Crowds",
Mrs. Garner Nicholson read "He b
Risen".
Mrs, Dunbar closed the meeting
with prayer, she and Mrs. Nicholson
served lunch and a social time was
enjoyed.

BELGRAVE--The evening unit of
the United Church Women met at
the home of Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse,
Mrs. Dorothy Logan opening the
meeting with a reading, "Give Me,a
Friend". Scripture verses were read
from Isaiah and Paul's Letter to the
Romans. The study on "Rural Life
in Canada and Africa" was con-
tinued. ,
The April meeting will be held at
the home of Mrs. Mabel Wheeler and
roll call will be "An Easter verse".
The next general meeting will be
held March '31 and will have as guest
speakers Mr. and. Mrs. Barry
McFadzean of Fergus. This couple
has just returned from Zambia
where they spent three years.
Lunch and a time of fellowship
followed the •meeting.
