Legion squad ties Palmerston The Wingham Legion PeeWees tuned up for the Young Canada PeeWee Hockey Tournament with an exhibition game recently against the Palmerston PeeWee 81s. This game also marked the return of Gerd; Welch to the Wingham line- up. However, it also proved to be .a tough game on several **Ingham players, especially Mike MacKay who will nibs the.; remainder of the season due to a broken wrist, - MacKay's presence and spark will . . be greatly missed on the defensive unit. The first period was scoreless, but several good opportunities were missed by both teams. - Welch netted Wingham's first marker from MacLeod, followed ttc minutes later by a goal off the stick of Jeff Olson, assisted by Evers and Balzer to give Wingham a two -goal lead. However, Palmerston came back in the third with Wm markers to tie the match. wogs s3 alive We have tgi.niart e happiness without at to ootoni to we t • 1ugt ':.. _.__ totoo ume clog it. than: (UII!!!ifI/flJ».) 111 i!fRH E3I I17 '.IIIIiIIIIIUIII I IIIIIII • • .nr w1w LE 'RINGS INC.
