Whitechurch Mrs. Jean Tiffin
was convener for the Resolutions
meeting of •the Women's Institute,
held at her home in Wingham on
'Wednesday, March 9, with 19 ladies
attending.
President Helen Currie _opened the
'fleeting with a reading, "Count
Your Be ings". The Opening Ode
and Mary Stewart Collect followed.
Minutes of the February meeting
were read by assistant secretary,
Mrs. Russell McGuire.
A workshop__ will be held in
Walkerton on March 29 at 10 a.M.,
with the topic, "Recharge Your
Batteries" and a fee of $5.00. Anyone
wishing to attend' may contact Mrs.
Currie. The ladies will attend a play
in Blyth in June instead of taking
their usual bus trip. The 60th an-
niversary of the Institute will be
celebrated June 8 in the
Whitechurch hall, with a noon meal
catered by Donnybrook UCW.
The roll call, "Something you
would like to see the government do
for the good of mankind", brought
many good answers, i.e., provide
better postal service; lower taxes;
keep promises; get down to work
and quit bickering.
Mrs. Tiffin read a poem, then gave
the motto on security. She talked
about security being protection, that
one always feels secure in his own
country. But she urged her listeners
to put their faith in God, rather than
man, and they would have security.
