hostesses on Tuesday night, /March
1, at the Fordwich hall for a
miscellaneous shower in honor of
Mary McInnes, bride -elect of this
month,
Contests were played and Jennie
gave a reading with advice for the
Nide. Mary received many lovely
gifts for which she thanked
everyone,
It was also the future bride's
birthday so "Happy Birthday" was
sung and all enjoyed decorated cake
with ice cream which was served by
the hostesses.

Rev. John G. Roberts of Knox
United Church conducted the
morning service at the Whitechurch
charge on Sunday, Feb. 28, while
their minister, Rev. John A. Neilson,
was in charge of the service at
Calvin -Brick United Church and
Knox United Church, Belgrave.
Belgrave residents congratulate
Mr. and Mrs. Joel Arkell on the birth
of their infant son, Jordan Peter
Wilkins, on Wednesday, Feb. 24. A
little brother for Justin and Jeremy.
Visiting at the home of Mrs.
Elizabeth Procter on Saturday, Feb.
27, were Mrs. Howard Zettler,
Sherry and twins, Amanda and
Alicia ofRR 4, Walkerton.
Mrs. Elizabeth Procter visited
with her daughter, Marjorie Procter
and Philip Stopforth of London on
Sunday and returned home on
Monday evening, Feb. 29.
Good turnout
at card party
BELGRAVE — Eleven tables
were in play at the weekly euchre
which was held in the WI Hall on
Wednesday, March 2.
High prizes were won by Mrs.
Agnes Gaunt and Robert Grasby.
Low prizes were held by Mrs. Edgar
Wightman and Mrs. Jim Coultes,
playing as -a man. Novelty prizes
went to Mrs. George Carter and
Mrs. Gertrude Reavie, playing as a
man and winners of lucky draws
were Mrs. Margaret Robertson and
Mrs. Ronald Coultes, the latter also
playing a man's card.
There will be euchre again on
Wednesday, March 9, starting at 8
p.m. Everyone is welcome.

time at last Friday night's pre -teen dance held at the Armouries build-
ing in Wingham. The dance was sponsored by `the Wingham Cana-
dettes
Seniors'group meets
at hall in February
IiLUEVALE — The monthly
meeting of the Bluevale senior
citizens' group was held in the
community hall last Monday, Feb.
29, with 35 members in attendance.
The meeting was called to order
by President Ross Turvey. Florence
Johnston opened the meeting with
several musical selections on the
piano. These numbers told of love

club held its first meeting Feb. 29 at
Bonnie Johnston's home. They
elected their officers: president,
Lee -Anne Nicholson; vice-president,
Cheryl Nicholson; secretary, Donna
Johnston.; press reporter, Lori
Moran. They also chose the name for
their club.
The girls learned about money,
goals, resources and making
decisions.
The Budget Babies will meet
again on Tuesday, March 15, at
BonnieJohnston's home at 10 a.m.

Heart and Stroke Month.
• The minutes of the last meeting
and the treasurer's report were read
and adopted. The members also
passed a motion to make a donation
to the Heart and Stroke Feknd.
The meeting adjourned and the
host committee of George and
Margeurite Fischer, Vera and Stan
Moffatt and Alba Mundell set up
eight tables for progressive euchre.
The following received prizes:
high lady, Laura Jenkins; low lady,
Mary Peacock; high man, George
Carter; low man, Norman Skelding;
ladies' draw prize, Isobel Garniss
and men's draw prize, Bill Peacock.
This was followed by a • delicious
buffet lunch. The next euchre is
March 14 at 8 p.m. Sharp.

This new 16 -week, full-time program for Health Care Aides will be starting
in late August at Conestoga College'syClinton Campus.
The program is designed for those who wish to work as a Health Care Aide
in a long-term care facility. The graduates of this program will be able to as-
sist with the emotional, social and personal needs of elderly residents and will
work under the Supervision of the registered nursing staff.

the Clinton or Stratford Continuing Education Office between the hours of 12
