Any boy or girl interested in
taking the 4-11 club project,
"Encounter the Outdoors", who is 12
years old as of Jan. 1, 1988, is asked
to please call Mrs. Walter Elliott at
357-1358 by March 20. This project
includes how to set up a shelter, light
a fire with one match, photographic.
and cooking skills, etc.
Mrs. Don Ross attended a
workshop for organists and choir
directors on Saturday, Feb. 27, at
the Anglican Church in Listowel.
Approximately 40 attended from
different churches in the area.

Mowbray from Pincrest Manor,
Lucknow, to the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Angus Falconer on Saturday to
help celebrate Mrs. Jean Tiffin's
birthday.

There were eight tables in play at
the shoot party sponsored by the
Rebekah Lodge on Feb. 29. Prizes
went to Irlma Edgar, high lady, Bill
Tiffin, high man and Elva Trapp,
playing as a man.
Marj Coultes and Mary Chamney
won the low prizes; Jim Coultes had
the most shoots; John L. Currie won
a draw prize and Morley Bushell
won a birthday prize.

The interim installment for the Town of Wingham is due
March 31, 1988.
Interest at 1 1/4% per month or any part thereof will be
charged as of April 1, 1988.
NOTE: Persons who have acquired properties and have not
received a tax bill should contact the Clerk's Office. Failure to
receive a bill does not relieve a taxpayer from responsibility
for payment of taxes, nor from penalty for late payment.

of the month. The building features 20 rental units, both one and two-bedroom, laundry facilities and a
common room.

about the Queen's Bush Rural
Ministry„ which offers advice to
people in rural communities who are
in difficulty.
Mrs. Moore read a moving letter
from a Manitoba housewife. She and
her husband lost their farm to the
bank. a k. Mrs. Gibb read an article
about small Presbyterian congre-
gations which are helping struggling
farmers. Rev. John Neilson led in
prayer.
Mrs. Russell Chapman read . the
minutes of the February meeting.
Eleven members answered the roll
call by making suggestions on how
to make Canada a better place to
live.
• The offering and Least Coin were
received, Mr. Neilson closed -the
meeting with prayer and everyone
enjoyed a birthday tea.

conduct WMS meeting
The Women's Missionary Society
of St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Wingham, held its monthly
meeting in the upper room on March
1, with Mrs. W. Lapp and Mrs. D.
Ritchie in charge.
Mrs. Lapp opened the meeting
witha welcome to all, 'a ppooe�m► and
prayer. She also read Scripture from
the 26th Chapter of St. Matthew's
Gospel and gave the meditation
entitled "Peter Had Followed Afar
Off". Mrs. Ritchieled in prayer.
Mrs. Isobel Arbuckle, guest
speaker, was introduced by Mrs.
Ritchie She showed a film on
"People and Churches of the
USSR". The offering was, received

fertory prayer,. Mrs. A. Conn
presided at the piano for the
meeting.
The business was conducted by the
president, Mrs. J. Donaldson.
Secretary, Mrs. R. McKay, read the
minutes of the last meeting and the
correspondence and called the roll.
Treasurer Mrs. H. Bateman gave
her report and Mrs. C. Tiffin closed
the meeting with prayer. Lunch was
served by Mrs. G. Wright and Mrs.
Belle Godkin.
