PeeWee B teal did not fare well in
its first match of a three -game
series with the Walkerton Wyatts,
droppinga 7-2 decision.
The two Wingham goalies, Rob
' Johnston and -Kelly McInnes, shared
the netininding duties with McInnes
starting last week's game. With only
• seconds elapsed in the first period,
Walkerton scored and Wingham was
unable to get one back until the half-
way mark of the frame when Jason
Daw shot one in on a nice
breakaway.
However, the tie was short-lived
as Walkerton scored again to end the
first period 2-1 in its favor.
Walkerton scored again three
minutes into the middle period.
Goali M

nnes made a nice save
wben a Walkerton player got a good
breakaway chance,. but Wingham
allowed-Walkerten two more •goals
while Mike Tiffin added one for the
China House squad, assisted by
Clement Wai and Duane Patterson.
The score after two periods was 5-
2 for Walkerton,
When Wingham player threw his
stick, the referee allowedValkerton
a penalty shot and Johnston handled
it well in the Wingham net, stopping
the puck in the crease when he
anticipated more shooters on net.
While Walkerton was able toscore
two more before the end of the
game,' Wingham was unable to get
past the Walkerton goalie. The final
score was 7-2 for Walkerton.
It is hoped the China House lads
will fare better in the next game
which is unscheduled.
