standing saves.

4-0 lead before Sullivan scored wit
only two seconds remaining in th
second period.
Olson and Deyell continued their
'strong play with two goals each to

The win moved the boys to
Sunday's action against their league
rivals from Walkerton.
The two squads were tied at 1-1
after one period with Olson scoring
for Wingham, assisted by Robinson
and MacKay. It was a pretty goal as
Robinson dug the puck out of the
corner and spotted Olson breaking
toward the net, making no mistake
as he picked the top corner.
The score remained tied after two
periods, but the teams traded third -
period goals, each scoring twice
with Walkerton's second goal of the
final frame coming with only 18
seconds remaining in regulation
time.
Wingham's third -period scoring
came from Taylor, unassisted and
Deyell from Robinson and Derek
Evers.
With the score tied at 3-3 after
three periods, the teams played a
two -minute sudden -victory period,

allotted.
This meant they had to go with
only two skaters, a go*lie and one
minute on the clodk. It. took
Walkerton's Matt Hawkins only, 17
seconds as he made a beautiful rush
up the ice and deked the Wingham
netminder, Andrew Gibson, with a
great move for the winning goal. It
was a heart -breaking loss for
Wingham as the team had the better
of the play throughout the contest.

Belgrave 7, Wingham 3
Last Wednesday Wingham con-
tinued its exhibition series against
Belgrave and once again the Super
X team came out on the low end of
the scoreboard.
Belgrave built up a 2-0 lead in the
first on goals by Doug Wilson and
Brandon Coultes.
Wingham rebounded in the second
to tie the game ..on..goals ... by -Gusso
and Edgar. Mark Gibson fed Edgar
a perfect pass at centre ice to send
him in alone.
However, Belgrave came right
back and restored its two -goal
margin 'as . Brent Robinson and
Coultes each connected.
Early in the third, Wingham
narrowed the gap when MacKay got
a wrap-around goal after hard work
behind the net. Walker and deBruyn
picked up assists on the play.
Wingham pressed but couldn't get
the equalizer past. Mike Golley. The
last 12 minutes of the game belonged
to Robinson, who picked up a natural
hat trick which, along with his
second period goal and two assists in
the first, gave him a six -point night.
