Sunday afternoon in.Wingham, the
b9metown crowd watched a low
Sewing and entertaining game as
the Sailors nipped the Ironmen 3-2.
The Sailors got the first goal
midway through the opening period
when a clearing pass _ was in-
tercepted at the Ironmen blueline bY
Ron McKay who spotted Darrell
Durni,n parked off to the side of the
net, and, the high scoring Geduld'
forward made no mistake in beating
goalie Mitch Braun.
That was the only scoring until the
third, thanks to some strong net -
minding by both Braun and
Goderich goalie Jeff Roy. The
Sailors added to their lead, five
minutes into the final frame on
Durnin's second goal of the af-
ternoon.
Wingham pulled to within one
seven minutes later, when defen-
ceman Doug. McFarlen, who had

banged home a goal-nriouth pass.„
