church, with Mrs. Sarah Anderson in
charge, opening -the meeting with a
hymn and a thought for the new
year. Mrs. Janisa .Coultes reported
that she had the books for the babies
who-we...re recently baptized and a
plaque for the adult baptism. The
number of copies of The Upper
Room was revised and a decision
made on those receiving them in
nusring homes, etc. Mrs. Coultes
also distributed the programs.
Mrs, Harold Vincent, UCW
president, reported that the general
meeting has been changed to Feb.

Food and Grain Bank. All neigh-
boring UCW groups will be invited.
Mrs. Lawrence Taylor and Mrs.
Coultes led worship and their
remarks were based on entering the
new year. For Bible study Mrs,.
Anderson used the first part of the
book, "Jesus Rediscovered", by
Malcohn Muggeridge.
Mrs, Coultes conducted the
mission study on "The' Politics of
Foodas an introduction of the new
studf, "Creation in Crisis". Canada
and United States produce one-third
more fool than they can consume
while Millions of people fight
starvation. India produces milliAns
of tons of food but -the poor are too
poor to buy it. In Brazil, two-thirds
t of the population is not eating
t enough and also in the Sudan,
malnutrition is the world's greatest
killer.
After singing a hymn, Mrs.
=t- Anderson led in prayer and The
Lord's Prayer concluded the
meeting.

Works in Teeswater, which for some
