for Mrs. Harry MOGOIre.
The new year began with a note of
4§adness as members of the McGuire
family attended funeral service at
1:30 on New Year's Day for a loving
mother and grandmother, Mrs.
Harty McGuire. A former resident
of Belgrave and in recent years a
resident of Brookhaven Nursing
Home, RR 1, Wingham, Mrs.
McGuire died Tuesday, Dec. 29, in
Wingham and District Hospital in
• her 89th year. Rev. John G. Roberts
officiated at the complete funeral
and committal service and honorary
pallbearers were her grandsons.
Spring interment. will take place in
Brandon Cemetery, Belgrave.
• The former Carrie Mae
Stonehouse was born Aug. 5,1899, in
Belgrave, a daughter of the late
Robert Stonehouse and Agnes
Jamieson. She attended USS No. 17
in Belgrave and worked as a
seamstress. On July 6, 1921, she
married -Mr. McGuir. ein-Auburn:He
predeceased her in December of
1978.
Mrs-. McGuire is survived by four
daughters, Mrs. Sam '(Thelma)
Pletch of Belgrave; Mrs. Norman
(Lois) Hill, Willowdale; Mrs. Harold
(Ruth) Cantelon, Tweed and Mrst„
Alan (Audrey) MacKay, RR 5,
Wingham; 20 grandchildren; 31
great-grandchildren; one sister,
Mrs. Russell Walker, Goderich and
one brother, Lewis Stonehouse of
Belgrave. She was predeceased by
three brothers, Norinan, Dr. Gordon
and Stewart and one sister, Mrs.
Robert (Filen) Coultes. She was a
member of Knox United Church,
Belgrave.
