This course will provide the learner with
the opportunity to increase his/her
knitting skills and to continue to perfect
techniques with which she/he is al-
ready familiar. In addition, the student
will receive individualized instruction in
the comprehension of patterns, graphs
and charts; gain skill in knitting with
four needles; practice using round
needles; and obtain some practical
experience in the Fairisle Method.
Emphasis will be placed on the impor-
tance of attention to detail and the use of
appropriate finishing techniques to cre-
ate handmade articles with a profession-
al touch.
Students must bring one ball of worsted -
weight knitting yarn and size 4.50 mm
needles to the first class.

has left many consumers bewildered.
This is a hands-on course, designed to
educate consumers so that they can uti-
lize their electronic equipment fully and
not feel intimidated by its' complexity.
Students will learn about video cassette
recorders, video cameras, monitor's,
cable television converters, home com-
puters, hook-ups, and pay TV descram-
biers. This course will appeal to owners
or prospective owners of home enter-
tainment equipment.

techniques used in the watercolours me-
dium. Topics include preparation of
sketching, composition, proportions and
the effects of light and shadow. Students
will be encouraged to experiment with
styles and techniques leading to devel-
opment of a more personal impression.
Please be prepared to bring the follow-
ing to the first two classes: newsprint,
two HB pencils, eraser, 18 inch ruler,
masking tape, and a drawing board at
least 16 inches x 20 inches.

Window Warmer Workshop -

This is a do-it-yourself workshop for
people who wish to make their own insu-
lated shades. Personal supervision is
given to each individual's needs, and
each participant takes home a finished
'Window Warmer' ready to install.
No special expertise is required to make
an insulated shade. In addition to the
making of the shade, the instructor will
deal with care and maintenance.
Participants must register in advance in
order to receive the instructions on mea-
suring their windows. These measure-
ments are essential to have at the work-
shop.
Participants will be required' to purchase
supplies to the approximate value of $35
for their shade. These materials may be
obtained at the Workshop if desired. Di-
rections are included in the instuction
manual.
