CONVERSATIONAL
LANGUAGES
Level I Courses A
These courses are for applicants with no
previous knowledge of the language.
Emphasis is on conversation using dial-
ogues and drills to learn the spoken lan-
guage. Topics are greetings, travelling,
going shopping, asking for directions
and everyday situations.

Level II Courses A
Applicants should have completed Level
or minimum of two years of high school
instruction. Some grammar will be intro-
duced to improve their reading, writing
and grammar.

Prerequisite: Conversational French 1 or
two years of High School instruction. A
pre-test will be given in both levels to
determine the student's level of fluency.

These courses are intended for those
who have passed Level II or who have
some fluency in the language and are
able to comprehend basic conversa-
tions. Students will be asked not only to
role play in simple dialogues, but also to
create their own and present to the
class.

Basic Electricity For Electronics -

Topics covered include: current theory,
Ohm's Law, series and parallel resistive
circuits, alternating current, including in-
ductive and capacitive reactance, reso-
nance and the use of test equipment.

Basic Electronic Trouble
Shooting In Industry - 4110040 A
Students will learn the basic principles of
logical trouble shooting. You will exam-
ine electronic circuits and their analysis,
showing how test equipment may be
used. Prerequisite: Introductory or Basic
Electricity For Electronics or equivalent.

Digital Electronics - 4110050 A
This is a practical, introductory course in
digital techniques. The student will be
able to develop ability interpreting, im-
plementing and troubleshooting circuits
using common logic families. Topics
inlcude: Gates, Flip Flops, Registers,
Decoders, Multiplexers, Logic Diagram
and Data Sheet Interpretation. The stu-
dent will be provided with sufficient theo-
