Due to the similarity of topics in the 3rd and 4th blocks, both classes will be taught at the same time. However, stu- dents must successfully complete the lower class examination blocks first. For Qualification as a 3rd or 4th Class Stationary Engineer, the following Blocks must be',completed along with qualifying work experience: Power Plant Applied Science Power Plant Chemistry Power Plant Boilers and Auxiliaries Power Plant Heating, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Power Plant Electrics and Instruction Power Plant Applied Mechanics Power Plant Boilers And Auxiliaries Blocks 643 and 633 - 4490030 S This course will provide the basic knowl- edge of steam boilers and steam plant auxiliary equipment. Topics include: modern steam boilers, boiler erection and operation, boiler valves, pumps, fittings and piping sys- tems, feedwater heaters, economizers and air preheaters. Students will receive one hour of each of the following every evening they attend: Mathematics I and II Physics I and II Thermodynamics I and II Block 641 must be successfully com- pleted before the Block 631 may be at- tempted. Jan. 14 $36 TRAVEL CONSULTANT Travel Consultant I (Destinations A) - 2210010 A This is the first of a series of four cours- es to prepare travel practitioners for the junior examinations of the Canadian In- stitute of Travel Counsellors Incorporat- ed. The Institute also requires three years work experience to qualify for its Junior Certificate. These course's pres- ent a broad spectrum of information in a 26 short time span and will assist those presently employed in the industry.
