Paid Parking
There will be a $3 50 charge per semester
for parking at the Doon, Guelph and Water-
loo Campus.
Reduced Fees For Senior Citizens
The College 'has implemented a practice
which allows persons age 60 or over to take
most courses for a 50% reduced tuition fee
These students must pay the additional cost
of supplies or equipment and this cost is
sometimes built into the fee Students must
meet course entrance prerequisites
Note: Reduced fees do not apply to semi-
nars or some specialty courses.
Income Tax Receipts
Course Tuition Fees (any number of
courses) totalling more than $100 are
deductible for income tax purposes.
An income tax receipt will be distributed in
class or mailed to you at the end of your
course. The Student Receipt which. you
receive at registration is NOT the receipt to
use for income tax purposes. If a student
requests a duplicate receipt or a verifica-
tion letter, a $5 charge will be made to
defray administrative costs. Please allow 3
weeks for processing.

COURSE CANCELLATIONS
The College reserves the right to cancel,
postpone, reschedule or combine classes
and to limit registration or change instruc-
tors. If your course is cancelled, you may
either transfer to another campus or course,
or receive a full refund. Every effort will be
made to inform you at home or at work
before the start date if your course is
cancelled. postponed or changed. Re-
member, early registrants help us establish a
class that might otherwise be cancelled:

Conestoga Recreation Centre
Located at the Doon Campus, the Conestoga
Recreation Centre is a• multi-purpose athlet-
ic, recreational and educational facility. It
houses a gymnasium with two full-size
basketball courts. one of the largest ice
surfaces in Canada, a fitness gym equipped
with universal and loose weights, and two
American squash courts. Outdoor facilities
include a fitness/jogging trail with 13 exer-
cise stations, a baseball diamond and four
lighted tennis courts.
The building was especially designed for use
by disabled participants and spectators.
Conestoga Recreation Centre hours are 8:00
a.m. to 10:30 p.m. seven days per week.
Non-members can .utilize the Centre for a
$2.00 day fee.

Career Orientation/Action Prdgram
Use our unique career planning service to
choose a career that's right for you. Through
interviews, discovery activities, and re-
search, CO/AP aims to help you discover
what employment path is best for you and
what skills you need to start along that path.
Free Information Sessions are scheduled
according to demand. If, after attending the
Information Session, you decide to pursue
the program, the fee is $100.00. Sessions
are arranged on an individual basis in the
evening. For more information, telephone
653-7460 between the hours of 12:00 rioon
to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and
12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

cessful completion of the course.
Affirmation
The College will issue an AFFIRMATION to
recognize the student's Successful comple-
tion of a course in which his/her grasp o1
the course objectives is measured.
The symbol A beside the course title
indicates that the College will issue an
Affirmation for successful completion of
the course.
Statement Of Participation
The College will issue a STATEMENT OF
PARTICIPATION upon request to indicate the
student's attendance and participation in a
course in which the student is not formally
assessed.
The symbol S beside the course title
indicates that the College will issue a
Statement of Participation.
For many courses, the College issues neither
an Affirmation nor a Statement of Participa-
tion.
The symbol N beside the course title
indicates that no official recognition is is-
sued.
In the event of inclement weather, it is
impossible for the Continuing Education staff
to telephone all students and inform them
that classes are either operating or can-
celled. If poor weather conditions exist, the
College will request local radio stations to
-broadcast that part-time Continuing Educa-
tion classes are cancelled. Situations may
arise where classes are running at one
campus location, and not another. Be. certain
to listen to the radio message pertaining to
your campus.
SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING
Students are expected to follow normal
safety practices, to observe housekeeping
regulations and to wear required protective
clothing. In courses involving the use of
equipment, specific safety regulations will be
followed.
SERVICES
Students are encouraged to use these
College facilities and services.

Each of the major 'campuses has a Learning

RECOGNITION OF STUDIES
Graduation Ceremonies
Students completing part-time Diploma and
Certificate Programs will receive their official
Documents of Recognition at the Conestoga
College CONVOCATION CEREMONIES, held
in June and November each year. Students
are encouraged to participate in their gradu-
ation ceremony, since it provides an oppor-
tunity for others to pay tribute to their ac-
complishments.
Certificate
The College will issue a CERTIFICATE to
adult learners who have been officially
accepted into an approved Program (e.g.
Health Care Aide Program) and who have
successfully completed all course require-
ments of the Program.
The• symbol C beside the Program title
indicates that the College will issue a
Certificate for successful completion of all
of the course requirements of the Pro-
gram.
Cumulative Achievement Report
The College will issue a CUMULATIVE
ACHIEVEMENT REPORT to indicate the
student's successful completion of the re-
APPEALS
A student who is dissatisfied with an
academic decision may lodge an appeal as
follows:
Appealing a Grade Decision from Faculty
Your written appeal must be received by
the College within seven calendar days of
the decision.
Appealing a Report from the Registrar's
Office
Write to the Registrar indicating that y�
feel an error has been made. The complaint
must be received by the College within six
months of the date on the report.
Appealing a Discontinuance .
The academic. administrative unit respons-
ible for your program initiates the discontin-
uance. You must appeal to the Director the
same day as your notice of discontinuance.

The College recognizes and abides by the
Ontario Human Rights Code -1981, and the
Charter of Rights...
Other Complaints
Other comelaints or concerns should be
brought to the attention of. the Continuing
Education Manager.
