Grey Cup '85 on CBC -TV,
Now that the bountiful
feast of autumn colors has
given way to the early
twinges of an inipesing
.winter Canadians from coast
to coast are preparing to
celebrate that annual sport-
ing and Cultural extrava-
ganza known as the Grey
Cup. As usual, CBC Televi-
sion will be.there throughout
Grey Cup Week_to provide
viewers with the best seat in
the house.
The festivities begin on
Thursday, November 21 with
the Schenley Awards, as the
top CFL players of the year
are honored in 'a glittering
ceremony. Hosted by. Ernie

they're coming your way at
8:00 p.m. in most of the
country.
Things really get cracking
on Saturday, November 23
with a special edition of
Sportsweetend live from
Montreal's' Olympic Stadium
at 12:00 noon eastern time.
Sportsweekend host Brian
Williams will send us direct-
ly to the vibrant streets of
Montreal for the annual
Grey Cup. Parade with CBC
Parade guides Ernie Afa-
ganis and Sue Prestedge.
Later in the program .there
will be a look back at last
year's fall classic in a
WI-- t-ltre s pt 'y trued In Sear&
Of A Dream. The program
will also feature an insider's
peek at the wild goings on in
Montreal all through Grey
Cup week.
Then, on Sunday, Novem-
her 24, the Big Day begins at
12:.00 noon eastern time with
Countdown To The Grey
'up, a pre -game show that
will tell you just about every-
. • thing you need to know be-
fore kick-off.
Then, at 1:30 p.m. it's the
Grey Cup game (kick-off at
2:00 p.m.) as the two top
teams in the country begin
the battle for Canadian foot-
ball's greatest honor. Don
Wittman will call the second
