Harold Grant dies after Iengthy illness Following a lengthy struggle with illness, George Harold Grant of RR 4, Wingham (Turnberry Township), passed away Tuesday. October 29, at Lonuon's University Hospital. He was 79 years of age, born May 22, 1906. A native of Howick Township, Mr. Grant was a son of the late'Thomas Grant and Elizabeth Lang. He attended school in Wroxeter and farmed all his adult life, for more than 30 years on the fourth concession of Turn - berry Township, before retiring to Teeswater in 1973, later to reside at RR 4, Wingham. He was a member of the Bluevale Presbyterian Church. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, the former Isabelle MacTavish, whom he married in May of 1939; their family: Phyllis and Donald Dosman and Ken and Helen Grant, all of St. Clements; two grand- children, Kevin and Sherry. Dosman; and one sister, Mrs. Roy (Mary) Vogan of Molesworth. The late Harold Grant rested at The McBurney Funeral Home, Wingham, where friends called until Friday at two o'clock when service was conducted by Rev. Larry Welch. He was carried to his final resting place in Wroxeter Cemetery by Bill deVos, Dick deBoer, Harold Elliott, Alex Petrie, Charlie Sanburn and Ken Stapleton. His two grand- children, Kevin and Sherry Dosman, carried memorial floral gifts. Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wingham, on Sunday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Mills officiating.
