Sam'l Hutchinson and son were here attending the funeral of the late David Hutchinson. Mr. and Mrs. Sid Saunders visited with" their daughter, Mrs. Dale, in Toronto last week. Mr. Harry McArthur who has been on sick leave from the bank of Com- merce as accountant, returned to duty on Saturday, Mr. Abraham lea- ving for Toronto. Quite a number of baseball fans motored to Lucan on Wednesday af- ternoon of last week and saw the Lucan baseball team defeat 'the -Lon- don teas. in a league game, 243. Messrs. G. E. Anderson and C. B. Snell attended the Seaforth bowling tournament last Wednesday and won three out of five in the elimina- tion play for the Championship of Huron. (Additional locals on page 4.) London S. A. Silver Band to visit Exeter June 14-15 The London No. 1, Salvation' Ar- my Silver Band will visit Exeter and vicinity on June 14 and 15th. This band consists of 30 niusicia1ns, who give their services, buy their own uniform and also pay into a band fund with which they help tobuy their music, ,All the music that is played by this band is arranged, or composed by Salvationists.
