Wellington Stanley Har- grave of Fordwich passed away suddenly in Listowel Memorial Hospital on Satur- day, October 19. He was in his 63rd year Born in Howick Township, Mr. Hargrave was a son of the late Emerson and Edna (Forster) Hargrave. Interment followed in Fordwich Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Will, Ken Hallman, Paul Reed, Bob Reid, Lloyd Reid and Brian Wray. Flower bearers were Shelley, Greg and Eleanor Gibson and Peter Browne. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be ap- preciated as expressions of sympathy. SILLY SEWERS Whitechurch -The Silly Sewers held their third meeting Oct. 16 at Mrs. Walter Elliott's home. The meeting opened with the 4-H• Pledge and the roll call was answered by six. The minutes were read by Marylou Dow and it was announced the next meeting would be held Oct. 23 at 4:30 p.m. at Mrs. Wardrop's home. The girls ironed their pattern piecesat the beginning of the meeting. Mrs. Wardrop discussed pressing and shortening and Airs. Elliott talked about laying out a pattern, cutting it out and following the fabric marks. The members them pinned their pattern piecg)on their fabric and cut them out. LONG -SERVICE MEDAL—Louise and Gordon Welwood, centre, of Wingham travel- ed to Kitchener last Friday where Mr. Welwood received a medal for 25 years of ser- vice on the Wingham Fire Department. Mrs, Welwood also received a pin. They are flanked by John R. Bateman, fire marshal of Ontario and Kitchener Mayor D. V. P. Cardillo. Bluevale euchre Twelve tables of euchre were in play_at the senior citizens` -panty on Monday evening. The hosts were Mr. and Mrs. Milt Boyd, Mrs. Harry Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Freiburger. Hi h_prizes were won by Mrs. Mel Craig and Earl Sellers; low prizes went to Mrs. Harvey Timm and Jack Jenkins. Door prizes were taken by Mrs. Cliff Bray and Mrs. Stewart McLennan.
