An impressive brass model steam locomotive constructed by
Charles and Russell Sibbick of Brantford attracted large crowds of
onlookers at last year's thresher show. The Sibbick's display of an-
tique gas engines was one of the many at the show.

the threshers rumble to life with a belch of
steam escaping from the chimney.
Mr. McBride says he keeps returning to
the reunion to see the new additions of anti-
que machinery as well as to meet people
from other places who come to the reunion.
The event has grown considerably since it
started. In addition to the threshers, gas

been added to the display list. Mrs. McBride
says she was happy to see the craft displays
come into being at the reunion.
Mr. McBride maintains that the 24th an-
nual Blyth tradition will survive only if
young people continue to become involved in
the reunion preparation. However, he feels
that the reunion will continue to thrive.
"For awhile, we were worried that young
people weren't taking over. But that's a.
worry that has passed. They're taking a
hold and we've got lot's of young members
for which we're thankful," he said.
