Today the annual showing of the Huron Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association Inc. is a steam engine reunion and more. Steam engines in action, antique cars and tractors, model engines still remain the main attraction of this unique show, but the reunion now offers events and activities for people of all ages and interests. This year the 24th annual re tnio will be highlighted by several special eve . A recent addition to the fun is the Old Time Fiddlers' Jamboree, to be'laeld Friday evening. September 6. Johnny Brent will be master off ceremonies at tis toe tapping musical evening. Johnny will also be On ha�the popular Step Dance Co petition Mt -Fid- dlers' Contest, staged ,Saturday after- noon, September 7. Music is an important part of the enter- tainment at the annual T'hreshermen's Reu- nion. On all three days bands will perform and will include the Ontario Provincial Police Pipe Band on Friday afternoon, the Clinton Legion Pipe Band on Saturday after- noon and the Cameron Highlanders on Sun- day afternoon. The three bands will take -part in daily afternoon parades and will also perform on the grounds of the reunion. The Heritage Fiddlers from Komokawill be back at the reunion again this year to pro- ide afternoon entertainment on an outdoor stage and play at a Saturday evening dance, to be held in the Blyth Arena, from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. There will be clown acts and puppet shows for the children, an extensive craft show in the arena and Sunday morning church ser- vices forthe entrie family. And tere will be steam engines. Steani engines and more. Visitors will see large steam engines, model steam engines, a shingle mill, baker fan, hay press, gas trac- tors, gas engines, antique cars, a hang ted separator, grain threshed and lumber saw- ed by steam; horse power, a black smith shop, log sawing competitions, belt setting competitions and bag tying contests.
