Mrs. G. Golley opens
meeting with - reading
BLUEVALE — "He Hath
Made Everything Beautiful"
was the reading Mrs. Glenn
Golley chose to open the
June 5 meeting of the
Women's Missionary Society
of Knox Presbyterian
Church, followed by the
hymn "This Is My Father's
World".
Mrs. Keith Moffatt was the
hostess to 14 members and
two visitors for the
associate -members' meet-
ing.
Mrs. Alice Elliott gave the
devotions from the Good
News Bible, telling the ladies
of God's creation of the
world in seven days. Mrs.
Joe Walker offered prayer.
Mrs. Moffatt introduced
Mrs. Robert Campbell' of
Wingham, who spoke on the
interest she and her husband
have m the youth group in
Wingham. She said they
have had supper in their
home for 30 to 40 young
people, then have devotions.
She spoke then of Paul's
real relationship with Jesus
Christ 'and of Demas, who
was a drop-out. Mrs.
Campbell said some people
love the world more than
Jesus: Aristarchus stayed
with Paul through a riot, a
shipwreck and a storm;
John -Mark returned home
but later overcame failure
and became a missionary;
.Jesus Justus was a faithful
worker and a great comfort
to Paul and Epaphrus
prayed feverently.
The .speaker said we all
need to pray and offer en-
couragement.
Mrs. Moffatt expressed
thanks on behalf of the ladies
and presented the guest with
a gift of appreciation.
The minutes of the last two
meetings were read and
adopted, followed by the
treasurer's report. The of-
fering was received with a
prayer by the president.
Mrs. Golley gave a summary
of the Presbyterial and
reminded the ladies of the
invitation to "A Night in
Korea" to be held at the
Brussels Presbyterian
Church.
A hymn was sung and the
Lord's Prayer repeated in
unison before the meeting
ended. Lunch was served by
Mrs. Elliott, Mrs. Moffatt
and Mrs. Walker.
