ing solo in James St. Church Sunday

Stella Southcott sang a duet at the
morning, service.
Miss Blanche Senior, of Exeter,
spent the week -end in town, singing
delightful solos at both services at
the First Methodist Church on Sun-

The Crocusses came out in bloom
about the middle of last week. The
tulips are making excellent progress

Mr. Chas, E. Tuckey ' received
word on Sunday of the rather sudden
death of his brother, Rev. George
Tuckey, of North Battleford, Sask.,
whose death was due to a ruptured
appendix.
A number of 'young friends gather-
ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs, Wm.
Passmore on Wednesday of last week
the occasion being a surprise birth-
day party for the latter. A pleas -
'ant evening was spent in games etc.
So far this season the run of maple
sap has been good and maple syrup
making is in '&11 swing. Cool nights
and not too warm days are what are
needed for a good syrup season and
this is the kind of weather we have
been enjoying,.
