INTERESTING LECTURE
A very interesting lecture on.
"Newfoundland" was given in Triv-
itt Memorial Parish Hall, on Friday
evening of last week by Rev. ".Mr.
Bowen in connection with Western
Uinversity. Mr. Bowen's lecture was
Illustrated with colored slides and
showed niany!, beautiful scenes sof
this beautiful isle. It was intensely
interesting to the many present.

A very ..enjoyable evening was
spent on Wednesday ,of last week in
the Parish IIall, wisen the A.Y. P.A.
entertained ` the young people of
Caven Presbyterian Church'. The
program, put on by the visitors, was.
exceptionally, well renderedand very
much appreciated. A real lively
contest was put on afterwards, which
kept everybody busy while lunch Was
being prepared. After all had par-
taken of a dainty Bustin, a: hearty
vote of thanks was tendered the A:

MVIonday of the death of Jane Gregory
widow of the late Thomas Gregory,
Which: occurred in Stratford' on San
day at the home other son, ex -Mayor
Gregory: The news w'ts received
with niucli surprise and regret by her
many friends in town. MIs. Gregory
had been visiting with her son for
about two months. - She had been
ailing with bronchitis but her death
was - comparatively ° sudden, passing
away about 6:30 Sunday afternoon,
death being due to heart failure.
The late Mrs. Gregory was born in
'Manchester, England, 78 years ,ago
and came to.; this country at the age
of 12 years, settling near Gueiph• On
her marriage to the late Thomas
Gregory, elle cause to Eiieter where
site has since resided, Mr, Gregory
was principal of the; Exeter ' school
for many and pa :•cd awe] in
1909. The late Mss. G'•egoiy :vas

Church and was highly esteemed
throughout the community. She
