The Businesswoman (Travelling
Tips For The Woman Alone)
The sharp increase in the number of
women travelling on business has
caused the travel and hospitality indus-
try to become somewhat more sensitive
to women's concerns. Travelling busin-
esswomen fke many of the same
problems as do their male colleagues
but they have more specific concerns
too.
This course will assist women to
strengthen their travel skills and devel-
op essential techniques needed to
• manage travel:
Handouts, lectures, visual displays,
role-playing, illustrative examples, and
classroom discussions of particular
problems and issues will be employed.
Topics to be covered include security
tips; ' preventative health measures;
travelling thin or on -the -road eating
strategies for keeping weight down;
client entertaining or dining alone;
techniques and travel accessories for
grooming, wardrobe, and ,the well -
packed suitcase; coping with discrimi-
nation; and assertive measures to max-
imize effective travel management.

The Employer Centred Training Department of Conestoga
College is offering a hands -en education program - based on
the application of skills and "know-how" in productivity im-
provement.
Three courses will be offered:
"How to Implement a Productivity Improvement Program in
Your Company" - Offered at: Loon Campus, Tuesdays, 10
week.
"Howl() Manage Production and Improve Your Productivi-
ty" - Offered at: Waterloo Campus, Wednesdays, 10
weeks.
"Human Resources Management: The Key to Productivity
Improvement" - Offered at: Guelph Campus, Thursdays, 10
weeks.
These courses will be of benefit to all people from the shop
floor to senior management who need to know in very
practical terms, what they can do to make their company
more productive.
Case studies, simulations and participative management
skills such as team building and group problem -solving are
