have special needs. Graduates of this
program will be qualified to -become
Resource Teachers as defined by the
(proposed) Day Nurseries Act. The
curriculum will focus on integration and
programming for individuals and
groups. The graduate will be able to
help each child and his/her family lead
a full, more productive and independent
life in the community.
Courses are conducted in the evenings
and are designed to meet the needs of
mature students who possess an Early
Childhood Education Diploma or equiv-
alent and are presently working in the
field of Early Childhood Education.
Students will require approximately two
and one-half years to complete _this
part-time program.
Field placement experiences are a
required part of the program. These
experiences take place during the day
and will be arranged on an individual
basis by the •Program Coordinator.
Program Eligibility:
1. Early Childhood Education Diploma
or equivalent.
2. Previous experience with children
who are developmentally delayed, as
defined by the Day Nurseries Act.
3. One post diploma year working with
children in a group care setting.
Applicant Assessment:
1. Assessment of information contained
in the completed Early Childhood
Education Resource Teacher Pro-
gram Questionnaire.
2. Assessment of personal suitability
through an interview with program
personnel.
3. Assessment of the information con-
tained in the completed Conestoga
College medical forms.
Program Admission:
.Applicants will be admitted to this
program based on program eligibility
requirements and the applicant assess-
ment results.
The deadline for applications to the
Early Childhood Education Resource
Teacher Program (Part -Time) beginning
in September, 1985 is June 28, 1985.

WOMEN'S EDUCATION
PROGRAM
All courses in the Women's Education
Program listed at off -campus locations
are offered in conjunction with the
agency providing the facilities.
Registration
All registrations should be forwarded to
the nearest Continuing Education Office.
To ensure a place in the class, please
register at least two days before the
class starts. (A small bursary fund is
available for women wishing to take part

in the Women's Education Program who
require financial assistance).
Courses Offered:
The Businesswoman (Travelling
Tips For The Woman Alone).
The sharp increase in the number of
women travelling on business has
caused the,travel and hospitality indus-
try to become somewhat more sensitive
to women's conerns. Travelling busin-
esswomen face many of the same
problems as, do their male colleagues
but- they have more specific concerns
too.
This course will assist women to
strengthen their travel skills and develop
essential techniques needed to manage
travel.
Handouts, lectures, visual displays,
role ;playing, illustrative examples, and
classroom discussions of particular
problems and issues will be employed.
Topics to be covered include security
tips; preventative health measures; trav-
elling thin or on -the -road eating stra-
tegies for keeping weight down; client
entertaining or dining alone; techniques
and travel accessories for grooming,
wardrobe, and the well -packed suitcase;
coping with discrimination; and assertive
measures to maximize effective travel
management.

Auto Mechanics For Women S
This basic course includes theory and
practical shop work. Topics include:
starting a car in difficult weather, oil
change, minor repairs. It is preferable

Career Planning S
This course will be of interest to women
who want to work but don't know what
to get into, and to women who are
working and want to switch occupa-
tions and/or move ahead. The sessions
will provide the opportunity for self -ap-
praisal, exploration of occupations and
the drafting of career plans.
