Basic Electronic -Trouble
Shooting A
Students will learn the basic principles of
logical trouble shooting. You will exam-
ine electronic circuits and their analysis,
showing how test equipment may be

Digital Electronics A
This is a practical, introductory course
in digital techniques. The student will
be able to develop ability interpreting,
implementing and troubleshooting cir-
cuits using common logic families.
Topics include: Gates, Flip Flops, Reg-
isters, Decoders, Multiplexers, Logic
Diagram and Data Sheet Interpretation.
The student will be provided with
sufficient theory to further develop
skills in digital processes.

Introduction To Microprocessor

components and their integration into a

Microprocessor Software A
In this introductory course, you will
learn how to write programs at the
machine language level using 8-bit
microprocessors. You will be required
to write programs using machine code,
and execute and debug your programs

Transformers And How To Apply
Them N
Prerequisite: ,Knowledge of basic elec-
trical theory as well as some practical
experience with electrical/electronic
equipment. This course has been de-
veloped to provide a practical overview
of the theory, design, construction and
application of small transformers. Com-
puter assisted design will be''demon-
strated.

The College has developed a corn-'
prehensive modular Machine Tool Setter
Operator Program (MTSO) designed to
prepare the graduate for .entry .into the
metal machining industry as a setter
operator with ' one or more of the
following specializations:
Engine Lathes
- Turret Lathes
- Milling Machines
- Grinding Machines
- Graduates of the evening part-time
MTSO Program will receive the College
Certificate equivalent to the full-time
day program.

Tools and NC Machining
The part-ttifie MTSO Program is offered
at Guelph and Stratford Campuses. The
Spring Trime..lter has 9 „ weeks, the
starting date is either Monday, April 29,
1985 or Tuesday, April 30, 1985.
Students attend two,nights per week for
four hou's per night from 6:00 to 10:00
p.m. The fee for the Spring Trimester is
$72, payable to the College on the
starting date (adjustment in the length of
the Spring Trimester required as a result
of the faculty strike).
In order to be admitted, you must
complete the Application/Registration
form on the back cover of this catalogue
and forward it to the College Registrar.
The detailed schedule of your learning
activities will be mailed to you prior to
the starting date.
Advanced NC Manual
Programming A
This course is designed to introduce the
student to advanced circular interpola-
tion, contour programming, repetitive
cuts, curvessand straight lines of a more
complex nature. In addition, the student
will be introduced to canned cycles,
subroutines, threading and the use of
cutter compensations. The student will
write and process complex part pro-
grams.

Computer Assisted Part
Programming - APT A
This module is designed to introduce
the student to the role of the computer
in NC Programming. The student will
learn to use the APT Language to write
and process part programs for machin-
ing centres to include planes, patterns,
and formula defined regular surfaces.
