MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION Municipal .Administrative Structure (Unit 2) A This unit concentrates on Municipal Administration particularly. It deals with the Machinery of municipal govern- ment, how that Machinery functions under stress and Modifications that can be/are made. Finally the unit previews the Management Process in Municipal Administration Program. New students are welcome to"take this unit now and take unit one at a later date. INSURANCE INSTITUTE OF ONTARIO' Conestoga College, in co-operation with the Insurance Institute. of Ontario, con- ducts courses specifically' designed to meet the needs of those persons employed by the insurance industry in the areas of Agency, Claims, Marketing and Management. Successful completion of twelve, courses, six of which are obligatory, will qualify a person for the designation, Associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada (A.I.I.C.). The College does not offer all courses each semester, but rather, a selection of courses to meet perceived needs and to ensure that students may achieve A.LI.C. designa- tion in a reasonable time. Insurance Courses are categorized as Obligatory, General, Marine or Accountancy. Courses from the latter two categories are not being offered at present due to lack of demand. INSURANCE INSTITUTE OF ONTARIO FEES: These fees are not included In the tuition fees charged by the College. The collection of Insurance Institute of Ontario membership fees and examina- tion fees is the responsibility of the Institute. The amount of such fees, the membership requirement to write exami- nations, the time and location of examinations and any other pertinent Insurance Institute information will be provided• as each class starts. Note: ,Insurance Organization Accounts and Finance must be taken as the last course or in conjunction with the . eleventh course. Automobile Insurance - (Obligatory) S The design of the course provides an in-depth knowledge of the various kinds of automobile policies, including the standard auto policy, drivers, gare9e, non -owned vehicles, application for automobile insurance, the actual policy and possible endorsements.
