VARIETY - THE . KEY TO CONESTOGA
COLLEGE COMPUTER COURSES.
Knowledge of computer skills is of increasing value to you as businesses and industries
automate. The computer courses offered at Conestoga allow you to develop skills
related to this changing technology.
Courses have been designed and arranged in such a way that you first acquire
confidence and skills in basic computer-related operations, then proceed to more
advanced learning.
Computer Literacy for the Office provides an introduction to computer skills useful to
the office worker, .Computer Literacy for Management offers practical insight to the
manager or supervisor and Computer Literacy: Introductory Workshop a basis for more
advanced courses such as Introduction to LOTUS 1-2-3, Advanced Word Processing
and Financial Applications. Microcomputers, Small Business Applications is designed
to guide small business owners in purchasing computers to meet their needs.
Computer programming courses offered this spring teach basic programming for those
with home computers as well as those who wish to program business applications. Data
Processing Concepts deals with understanding computer terminology,, history,
functions and applications. More advanced courses in BASIC, PASCAL, COBOL and
RPG languages are also available. All courses provide a combination of classroom
instruction and hands-on experience. For more information on Continuing Education
computer courses, refer to pages 14 & 1 5.
