and have we got aday planned for you!
There is something for everyone going
on Saturday, March 10, and to make store
you start off on the right foot, the Listowel
K-40 Club is serving up breakfast
Who can pass up golden brown pancakes
smothered in butter and maple syrup, sau-
sages on the side and, of course, coffee (or
tea)??
Nobody can!
To get yours, be at the Anglican church
on Main .St- West in Listowel at 7 a.m., but
don't forget the rest of the family.
Breakfast will be served until 12 noon.
Cost is $3.50 for adults and $2-50 for chil-
dren.
If you're feeling energetic after break-
fast you might just want to run a few
miles. Here's your chancel
The Listowel Kinsmen PADDYFEST
Road Races get underway at 9:30 a.m.
There are two races to choose from, one
of five miles a^? :bc other of 10 miles, star-
ting from the Listowel District Secondary
School.
If you're serious about running you
should be at the school approximately one
hour before race time. The entry fee is $5.
Next on tap is the annual PADDYFEST
parade.
Beginning at 12 noon from the Listowel
Transport Lines, the parade will proceed
east on Main Street to Wallace Ave., where
it will turn north and head toward Eliza-
beth St.
The parade will then proceed easterly on
Elizabeth St., going past the Listowel hos-
pital and ending at the Listowel Memorial
Arena.
You are now at the spot that will house
the majority of the remaining' events.
The events taking place at the arena are
as follows: arm wrestling, tug -o -war, log
sawing, and a euchre—tournament. All
events encourage both male and female
participants.
Pre -registration far the games is 12 noon
and the games will begin at 1 p.m.
If your interest is curling, spectators are
welcome to watch the PADDYFEST
Bonspiel taking place at the Listowel Cur-
ling Rink beside the arena.
If you are not prepared to play some
games or to watch other people playing
games, we suggest you set your toes to
tappin' and your hands to clappin' by mak-
ing tracks to the Kin Station.
Why? Because that's where. the Listowel
Kinsmen PADDYFEST Fiddlers' Jambo-
ree is being held.
A proven success, the Fiddlers' Jambo-
ree brings out the best in the area's mu-
sicians as they play some of�I our favorite
tunes. It all gets underway at1 p.m.
If all of this toe tappin' and game playin'
has, worked up a hunger, we'll look after
that too!
The Anglican Church Women are serv-
ing up a terrific roast beef supper at Christ
Anglican Church Hall on Main Street West
beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing through
to 7 p.m.
On a first come, first served basis, the
price is only $6 for adults and $3 for chil-
dren.
