visit Pig-n-Whistie
The PADDYFEST Atom hockey tourna-
ment continues into the second day of com-
petition on March 12 and later on the big
guys go into action.
At 7:30 p.m. the puck will be dropped to
begin a gruelling hockey match between
the Harriston Blues and Listowel's ..own
Shieks Oilers.
These two teams represent 'a great deal
of Listowel and area talent and this pro-
mises to be a very exciting and entertain-
ing match.
As many of the players are from the im-
mediate area, all of you will know at least
a few of them; so come out and cheer them
on. Admission for this event is kept purpo-
sely low (Adults $1.00, Children 50 cents) to
encourage participation.
After the hockey game is over, and
you've cheered till your throat is dry,
make tracks to PADDY'S Pig -n -Whistle at
the Kin Station. We'll get rid of that hoarse
throat and provide you with some good en-
tertainment featuring.`TwoBiue
Admission to PADDY'S Pig -n -Whistle is
free, so.come on out to the Station, have a
listen, clap your hands, stomp your feet
and quench your thirst with PADDY'S I -
bationsr
If you, don't catch the game, PADDY'S,
will open at 8 p.m. and won't be closing
until 1 a.m., so you too can get into the
spirit of it all.
An Age of Majority Card is required for
admittance to PADDY'S.
Ringette and variety
night on March 13
The hockey is all over and now it's time
for the girls to take to the ice.
The Listowel' Kinsmen PADDYFEST
girls' ringette tournament gets underway
at 8 a m. at the Listowel Memorial Arena
on Wednesday, March 13.
There are eight teams competing, con-
sisting of two from the Tiverton area and
one each from Walkerton, Hanover, Tees -
water, St. Jacobs, Howick and the home
team, Listowel.
The championship game is scheduled to
begin at 6 p.m. and again we would en-
courage audience participation, not only to
cheer the girls on, but to witness what few
in this area have already witnessed —
good ringette.
A PADDYFEST Variety Night will be
held again this year on March 13, featur-
ing, of course, Listowel and area talent.
Since it has become such a popular
event, the Variety Night has had to be
moved to the Legion Auditorium on,Eliza-
beth Street East to accommodate the audi-
ence.
Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the enter-
tainment starting at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $2 per person payable at
the door.
The civic pride we have in our youth is
certainly evident during this evening, and
the performers appreciate your atten-
dance and encouragement.
