The money was turned over last week to representatives of the Canadian Red Cross to use in an aid program.,Taking part in the presentation were Al Skelton. TV station manager. David Gunn. regional Red Cross chairman: Albert Batten. Red Cross volunteer; Bill Thomson, host of the Open Line program, and Jack Gillespie, radio sta- tron manager for ,CKNX AM and FM. Appeal raises $44,000 for Ethiopia A joint project involving CKNX radio and television and the Canadian Red Cross has raised close to $44,000 to aid the starving people of drought -stricken Ethiopia. Hundreds of contributions sent in from all around this area were -recently turned over by CKNX to Red Cross officials.
